@cgp. like I said. he was battling the ghey. blaming pharma is the same thing as using pharma in this case.
You bring up something I forgot about. He very well may have been at odds with his own possible latent homosexuality. It would only be that much more depressing if part of his pathology was stemming from viewing queerness as weak/wrong/whatever and it festering as self hatred.
