Season 1 isn't much; the main premise becomes stale after a few episodes.

Season 2 - Asylum is better, yet several episodes look like test footage of really bad horror flicks.
And Adam Levine's an ugly twink.

Season 3 - Coven is interesting and mostly solid.
And Emma Roberts is a bitchy slut.

Good performances by Jessica Lange throughout the series, great ones by Kathy Bates in season 3 and mostly lame jive by Angela Bassett, also in Coven.
