Not too long after Touch of Grey came out I started working a job where several of my co-workers were serious Deadheads. I tried like hell to get into them in the early 1990s but couldn't even though I liked In the Dark. Yesterday I got my 66th live Grateful Dead CD set in the mail. 62 of them I have bought in the last three years.

I tried several times to get into the Grateful Dead over the years but just couldn't. It was "Freaks and Geeks" that did it. A teacher in that series recommended "American Beauty" and listening to that album made it click for me.
