Going through the drive thru at a fast food place and they give you your drink as soon as you pull up to the window but they wait until the rest of your order is ready to put a straw into the bag instead of giving it with your drink.

I'm assuming this bullshit somehow originated on Facebook, but there's some sort of pay-it-forward thing going on at the drive-thrus for StarBucks. I'm driving a brand new luxury car, I don't need the person ahead of me to pay for my coffee and breakfast sammich. And I'm not gonna feel bad for not buying the person behind me their drink/food.

Alls I know is I broke the chain. And it was all unbeknownst to me before I pulled up, which is why I have no guilt.

Hell no. I pay $2 for coffee at Sbux or $2 and change if it's iced. I order a tall Americano with room then move to the side and pour either soy or non-fat. No sugar. 20 calorie drink...done! I'll be damned if I'm paying $6 for someone's 700 calorie frappamiata or whatever.

I get different drinks at different spots. I don't consider Starbucks to be real coffee, it's more of a coffee flavored beverage, so I get an iced latte with sugar free vanilla. The local coffee roaster is 10x better than Starbucks, so I'll get an iced americano and put a splash of cream in it. At coffee drive thru huts, I just get plain iced americanos because no matter how little cream I ask for, they dump in enough to make my drink taste like a breve. But people don't go to the coffee huts for coffee anyway, they go because the baristas are all hot and sometimes you just need to see a hot chick to brighten your day. I saw one the other day that looked just like Tori Black.

I'm still trying to figure out something it saw at the coffee shop in the local hipster grocery store. The yoga instructor hippie chick ahead of me in line ordered a soy latte, then she went to the sweetener/creamer station and poured pure cream into it.

This is why I grind and brew my own. You can't even order a cup of black coffee any more without it being something else.

s^me. i'll admit that when i'm super lazy/hurting some mornings i'll grab a Mcd's newmans own dollar coffee when the timings right. it's almost coffee and you get the same bump from the large as you would a cup of your own at home.

I've always been extremely sensitive and have stayed away from caffeine for the most part or just have a third of a cup of tea diluted. It's an awful feeling. I do get grumpy on rare occasions when I don't get to shit in the morning. Maybe that's my morning coffee

The man vs nature aspect of that reminds me a little of the fight we had out here over the La Jolla Children's Pool. It's officially a seal sanctuary now, but we had to listen to the locals bitch about it forever. It's not my hood, but I'd personally prefer the seals over children any day. We have assholes like that in my town. Person w/ large horse farm subdivided it, building on 1/2 and preserving the other 1/2. After a year the fuck heads who bought in the development were complaining to the township about the smell of the horses.

Similar situation w/ the East Windsor racetrack. Assholes bought houses in a subdivision right next to a racetrack, then started complaining about the track.

These are reasons I hate development people. Whenever someone tells me they live in my town, then tell me a road I never heard of, I say "Never heard of it. Is it in one of those housing projects?" and they get insulted and walk away.
