Lost is the worst example of a television series starting out well and then becoming unwatchable. If I'm supposed to be the "resident Alex Jones buttlick," about the opposite's accurate. The guy's crazy and funny to laugh at. So no, no idea. Possibly Somalian air pirates. How did Lost try to explain its shit to its audience in the end; is it the "time's-compressing-when-people-die-and-it's-all-a-vision" thing I noticed somewhere?

I think Lost's explanation was that the island and the adventures therein were some form of purgatory and trials for the deceased (they all died in that plane crash, but for some reason didn't know it) before their souls could be released. Or some shit like that. It was a colossal MacGuffin and made that finale a real mess.

couldn't agree with pipe more. Lost was a goat fuck disguised as a shitshow after season 2. More like nosedive. My version is that the explosion caused the fuselage to snap in 2 pieces and then they sank fast when they hit the water. Kinda like Titanic. kinda like titanic?. or kinda like anything with a compromised hull you fucken moron. how is an airplane in pieces far from it's established course anything like a cruise ship?. and then theres the transponder that was turned off. stick to what you know...dudes with tits.

It's really less about the plane than it is about the weirdness involved. Stolen passports, 10 mile long oil slicks, Mr. Ali, satellite photos, fireballs, transponders, replaced wing tips, calligraphy conventions, engines pinging Rolls Royce for 5 hours...then that never happened...but it's still reported as fact, cell phones still ringing...fuck, it doesn't end. Waiting for Shaggy, Scoobie and the Mystery Machine to show up.

In this era of universal snooping, I wonder why there aren't surveillance cameras in every cockpit that feed to a central digital storage hub. Not anything that's constantly monitored, but more something that can be pulled up when there's some weirdness going on.

Assuming it didn't explode in the air or crash and was redirected, things have been quiet. No extremist groups bragging they captured the plane, no ransom demands, nothing. The disquieting thing about this is it means the game is still afoot.

If we are all lucky (even the passengers), the plane is under 3900 meters of water somewhere on the floor of the Indian Ocean.
Imagine some nuts get a hold of the plane. Repaint it, refuel it, load a dirty bomb, nuke, emp device, what have you, fly over country X, dive.

They are checking the pilot and co-pilot's houses, and talking about pilot suicide. at this point who knows. the news channels can't say enough about nothing at this point. and i'm not sure why the fact that the pilot had an advanced flight simulator is a big deal. if he's already flying the plane how is that a threat beyond him being obsessive compulsive about his job?. i can't see the significance of training others in this scenario.

I doubt pilot suicide. All the confusion for what?
All either pilot or first officer would have to do in order to commit suicide is incapacitate the other or wait until he stepped out for a pee, then lock himself in the cabin, pray to allah, and tip the nose of the plane sharply down. No need to shut off the transponder, that ACAR text messaging dealio, radio, and what else in order to cap himself.
If we're lucky their transponder failed and the Chinese overreacted and attacked and damaged the plane's cabin, letting it drift for hours until it crashed somewhere. No plane, no story, no apology.

i didn't want to get that deep but it might have been another flight 93 scenario where things went sideways and for the greater good it got splashed. we're not going to assume none of the passengers had phones, right?.

The hijack going bad has been brought up. Apparently the thing ascended and descended really erratically...like on 93 when they were jerking the plane around to throw the passengers off balance.
I'm still wondering that if the engines can sent info to the manufacturer, why can't the black box do the same thing?

They probably would think that if they camouflage the plane with new livery and a call sign and bamboozle their way over some unsuspecting country (who wants to be responsible for shooting down an errant Aer Lingus?) they might get away with it. Pilots better have those flight plans well documented and filed for the next 6 months or there are going to be flames in the sky.

@barry..my bad. you caught me slipping. i've gotten used to kicking around the one shitty jew we have here. it makes for bad form in the real world. I'm a little unnerved at having a rogue Malaysian Islamist plane on the loose, because I'm sitting here in Singapore this week and the place those guys hate the most (besides, presumably, Jerusalem) is Singapore. If the plane is being reconfigured as a weapon of mass destruction it could very well be on its way back here.
Here in my hotel room in Singapore I'm watching Fox News and Judge Jeanine Pirro is yammering on and on about the missing plane. Good lord, she is an attractive 63. She has a great old-lady body and hot legs. If only she didn't wipe her ass well I would think Alex would be all over this.
