In California we have gardeners that mow and everything else. I don't think I ever saw anyone mow their own lawn.
In El Paso there's no grass to mow but dirt and rocks. So that was easy.
Just moved to TN in a temporary rental. Took advice of neighbors to let it be through winter and as it starts to grow of fresh grass then mow it. Sounds like what you said is similar to what they said. Soooo that's the plan.
Field Mexicans are more expensive in TN than CA because of the shipping charges. White trash will work cheaper, but po hillbillys work on a "Southern" schedule, so the work ethic is flat out lacking.
Get anbig can of Round Up that kills to bare ground, so you dont have to weed wack as much.
