You're not very good at this, first you try to make some argument about Chomsky's naive understanding of the world then you backpedal every point you made and actually appeared to agree with everything but then say your argument is just "well, I don't care because I live in 'merica".....Even if we're looking at things through a conservatarian view point, say, such as Ron Paul's, wouldn't you agree we at least SHOULD care on some level as our never ending genocidal foreign policy will lead to a never ending stream of people willing to smash more airplanes into our buildings?

Has anyone noticed that the set of folks decrying the primacy of money intersects quite strongly with the set of folks who can't seem to figure out a way to get any money? Of course, the opinion leaders of the losers bitching about the primacy of money, they know how to make money — by rousing that rabble, of course. An hour of Chomsky's time to yammer on at the local U to tell future Starbucks baristas about how the rich are screwing them? That'll be twelve thousand smackers, fuck you very much. (At least, that was his rate in 2006 when we still had the illusion of a strong dollar.)
You'd think such an important anti-capitalist message as Chomsky's should be delivered free of charge, wouldn't you? But no, Chomsky values his labor many dozens of times higher than my labor, while denouncing me as an exploiter, and hundreds if not a thousand times higher than the labor of the rabble he rouses.
Did you know that most of Chomsky's (and his wife's, as she is a professor at Harvard) academic work has been funded by the Pentagon? That's right: Chomsky works for the war machine. Chomsky grew rich working for the war machine. He owns not just one home in a wealthy enclave, but also a vacation home in an even more wealthy enclave. What do you suppose Harvard and MIT professors get paid? Why does he not teach at a community college where he can help more of the oppressed?
Did you know that Chomsky has moved most of his millions into irrevocable trusts, to keep the assets away from the tax man. But, but, isn't Noam Chomsky one of the leading voices demanding a more progressive system of taxation? Didn't he say that April 15 ought to be a day of celebration where citizens rejoice over doing their part for the commonweal?
What a fucking phony. Always it is thus with the vanguard of the proletariat.

Actually, I did know chomsky worked for MIT which was primarily funded by the pentagon, it's right in the above video you stupid asshole. and he talks about his wife doing research for he pentagon as well in another video. You're a little lose with the facts on that one as it was pretty common practice for universities being required to claim a technological or scientific research project had some kind of military application even it was completely bogus, a lot of their funding required that. Interesting as you seem to completely miss the irony that the pentagon is virtual socialism funding almost all the technological advancements we have had which eventually ended up in the free market, amazing what you can do with unlimited tax payers r&r when you don't have to worry about the market, I thought that was called EVIL SOCIALISM. As far as chomsky's going rate for lectures, you could have even made him look even worse if you pointed out the claim (one I've seen leveled on right wing blogs, might be true, might be bullshit) about him more than doubling his asking rates after 911. Feel free to call the man a hypocrite.
You see you're engaging in what is known as genetic fallacy, and it's not a way to make logical refutations of arguments. I can make some more for you if you like. Marx lived off his wealthy relatives. He fucked his maid and got her pregnant. He would get drunk and try to knock the hats off of british bobbies. with snow balls (even you have to admit that's pretty cool) and he called Lasalle a Jewish N igger or some such thing........If we're going to play this game it's no different than bringing up the fact Thomas jefferson called the indians mercillis savages or fucked his slaves or the founding fathers really didn't give a shit about the average man every time some dumb shit hick or talk radio idiot wants to start opining with almost religious reverence about the founding fathers..or that Ayn rand was a chain smoking tweeker who idolized a child murderer and suckled on the tit of socialist american medicare on her last days.........not to mention an extremely shitty writer.
We shouldn't even really having these arguments. After all we're Americans by the grace of God and we should stand united.

No, I said the Pentagon funded Chomsky's research. It isn't as simple as Chomsky being on the faculty at MIT, and MIT incidentally accepting Pentagon-linked educational subsidies. The Pentagon funded Chomsky's research. As in, his earliest books were funded by DOD grants, and his work on linguistics in a Pentagon-funded special research lab at MIT directly informed the syntax of computer languages used for command-and-control systems.

I believe we're splitting hairs at this point. He states in the above video that MIT at that point was virtually %100 funded by the pentagon. I love how you completely gloss over the part where he talks about the anti war activities going on at MIT at the time as well and mentions facing jail time (I haven't researched the validity of the severity of his possible sentencing. Seeing as you're such a learned man of the world, why don't you do it for me) ....You also completely gloss over the broader points I was making, Seeing as you're obviously so much more intelligent than me. Why don't you try making some valid arguments on the virtues of the "free market" system, and provide plenty of data and sources.

Monsanto doesn't sound Jewish, but they are a tricky people so I wouldn't put it past em to use a Fugazi name. Rosenblatt would be too much of a tell.

That's what "they" want you to believe. Monsanto, as all right thinking hot plate enthusiasts know is nothing more than a cover for those who Really Run the Show.

Then again, Monsanto won't be satisfied 'til it owns the trademark on every seed sold in the US.

Fuck Chomsky. You just quote Chomsky because you are too goddamn lazy to read the New York Times EVERY day, front to back, and form your own goddamn opinions.

I feel the only factual posts in the thread are the ones where Rear Admiral discusses whores.

I guess this is as good of place as any to point out that Chomsky was a gigantic apologist for the Khmer Rouge.
