I do agree that some of the biography posted on IMDB is too salacious. It gets into areas of their lives that should be private. So touchè there.
Unfortunately, when you attain a level of public notoriety, this is one of the costs, and if you decide to flaunt it, you better be prepared to deal with the consequences. Tom Hanks and his family retain a rather quiet life, even though this guy makes more money than Croesus. He has engineered his life that way.
When Ashley Blue wanted her real name out in public for all to see, she engineered it in an entirely different way.
Love it or hate it, the public acceptance of the porn biz has made these people public figures. No one remembers--or cares about--the birth names of Constance Money, Samantha Strong or Gloria Leonard. But the newer crop of whores crave attention. And with it, they get attention. Does anyone really give a shit about that TeenMom whore who got her ass fucked for some easy cash (sorry, I don't even remember her stage name now)? But she wanted the attention, and she got it in droves.
Most mainstream actors/actresses with a nom-de-plume know what is in store. They get to be on the Hollywood bus tours. Does anyone really think Elton John gives a rat's ass about his IMDB entry? Stalkers abound in all walks of life, porno or non-porno. It's how you manage it that makes all the difference.
