No. The thread I bumped, the thread some newb posted in, the thread that was deleted, is not the thread that is there. To my knowledge, there's no edit of any kind. He simply posted "test" in the other thread and figured no one would know the difference.

I didn't say anything about it at the time because, frankly, it wasn't that big of a deal and I thought "What the hell, the guy realizes he leaped before he looked."

It seems to me that there are many threads in the XPT past that were over-the-top, possibly libelous, and perhaps just patently offensive (well, that would describe most of the threads). If the staff decide to delete them after a decade (after which, I remind, the statute of limitations has clearly passed) because some degenerate like me bumped one and it suddenly aggravated someone's sensibilities, then just shut the board down for good.

Seriously, I don't know who the "higher-ups" are any more. JM has been absent for years for whatever reason, and I don't care or want to know. But all we hear is that the "higher-ups" want all this done.

I'd like to hear from the higher ups as to their sudden change of mind. And I wonder if they are the same people who they used to be.

Do a good job guys. If the board is going to take some huge Trpwl-shift, please let us know what it will be like. I would love to help in raising this site from its 1.2MMnth Alexa rating. But someone has to stand up and say what the board stands for and what the goals are. That kind of leadership has been absent for a half decade.
