I just finished watching all 5 seasons in the span of 3 weeks.

When I originally watched the series I forgot what douchebags Hank and Jessie were in the first 3 seasons by the time I got around to watching seasons 4 and 5.

I was absolutely giddy when Hank got killed, seriously I almost jizzed in my pants. I really hated Hank right from the beginning.

There was a nice piece of forshadowing when Walter and Junior were watching "Scar Face" where I think Walt tells Junior that "Everyone dies in this one".

I think more people should have died in Breaking Bad. I wanted to see Marie and Walt Jr. both get wasted. Junior should have been beaten to death with his own crutches so we could hear the cripple scream. That would have been sweet.

Junior was my least favorite character in the show. It was sad he didn't die.

yes they are and since Friday I've been to the gym, the liquor store, and the chair in front of my tv exclusively. the antics in the mod thread distracted me, slightly.

@fiend. Marie and Hank deserved each other. one of them got lucky and was shot in the face. the other is left with a bitter skyler.

Walt jr... I hear ya but there's a strong chance he'll spend his money on a dodge that his crippled legs and mind won't be able to control and he'll meet the final darkness.

It's my opinion that pinkman is by far the biggest piece of shit to ever grace cable television. some would argue that he's a total victim but I see him as a junkie pawn. the only thing Vince didn't do was put him in lockup and film the rape scene.

He is a very big piece of shit as shown in the NA meeting. He gets Badger and Skinny Pete to talk about the blue meth and whet the other junkies appetites to sell them the shit. He tries to get Andrea to use with him even though she will lose her son if she is caught.

People died being close to him, Jane and Andrea; died working for him, Combo and being directly killed by him, Gail. He destroyed many lives including his parents (with that bankrupting shitty real estate deal that Saul shoved down their throats), Jane's father and mother and Brock not having a mother.

In the flashback scene where he takes Walt's life savings and makes it rain at the strip club and gets Combo to sell him his mother's shitty Bounder RV with what is left of the bankroll.

As he has said many times: yo, I'm a criminal.

yes... jesse seemed to be destroyed when he had to off gail yet it seemed like we were to forget about what happened to his friend combo. he had blood on his hands long before he offed gail. that was a pretty big hole in the plot in my opinion.

it was actually combos idea to sell jesse the crystal ship though.

Ah, so that's what you get when a TV show isn't all shitty.

That is the genius of the show to get you to like the protagonists: Walt was an unoffensive guy until he broke bad, Jesse was never a good guy, though he was charming and superficially kind. Karma seemed to deal Jesse consistently shitty hands ever since he hooked up with Walt: the beat-downs by Tuco's crew, The crack heads with the stolen ATM, Hank and the Neo-Nazis. Plus the deaths of his two girlfriends made that time period not too sweet for him. His life was definitely better without Walt being in it.

True. Jesse said where I can get an RV at 7 in the morning, and Combo came through.

almost everyones life was better without walt being in it. that would be an excellent trivial pursuit card. in the show Breaking BAD who DIDN'T get their shit pushed in after making Walter Whites acquaintance?. the junkyard guy came out ok, right?. other than that...shitshow.

and now that you mentioned it mr. kingfish. you know what really set me off early today. after hank pulled the ground and pound on jesse walt went to visit jesse in the hospital. more than once! this is a local hospital in a dea town?. wtf

fucken powerful kingfish btw. dude knows his BB.

I watched it and think it's one of the best television series I encountered.

It apparently has a more elegant narrative than typical network shows and reminds me of the better examples of premium cable programming; it doesn't have pseudo-cliffhangers underlined with audio effects or overly dramatic music before commercial breaks.

It flows nicely and doesn't make everything too apparent in order to anticipate massive inebriation of the audience and still get its point across.

It has a story to tell.

It is good entertainment.

@ the bold... i'm assuming that's a shot at walking dead and if it is i totally agree. that show is a primetime couples soap opera as of late.

i've seen the vice walter white episode. he's not the one who knocks. he's closer to the west va whites.

The music and sound effects thing's used widely in various network television shows and becomes more obvious when they aren't watched while being broadcast live.

The latest season of The Walking Dead I don't know yet, like the semi-interactive games which basically are other episodes in the setting though.

True, when you analyze the show, there are issues I have from a technical perspective, not just logistical issues. Some logistical issues: Vince acknowledged one thing they did not want to really discuss too heavily: How did Walt poison Brock to get Jesse back on his side? They jokingly talked about a "magical juice box". Deus Ex Machina worked brilliantly for getting them out of the Bounder when Hank was sweating out a warrant, but not so much for poisoning the kid. When Jesse tracks down Gail's address, Mike and his henchmen are looking for Jesse at full tilt and he can get close enough to the lab to follow Gail home to find his address? Distraught Jesse happens to answer Walt's phone call when Mike has a gun to Walt's head when he has a history of ignoring Walt's calls for days on end.

Regarding Jessie in the hospital: I am sure being beaten by one of their own, the DEA would have someone keeping an eye on the kid even if from down the hall and the local DEA isn't so big that they wouldn't recognize Walt -- especially since Hank put out a fucking tip jar with Walt's picture on it in DEA office to help pay for Walt's cancer treatments.

My technical issues are: the magnet to destroy the video evidence on the laptop and the mercury fulminate in Tuco's office. The Mythbusters busted the hydrofluoric acid issue with the bathtub in Season 1 and the mercury fulminate in the same season. I can buy the methylene train hijacking though it requires Mission Impossible type of timing.

Even if Walt used TNT or RDX instead of mercury fulminate in the quantity shown on the screen, I don't think the shockwave would have done all that damage.

Those magnets weigh a fuck load and unless they really beefed up the van's suspension, it would have sunk on its tires. The amount of electricity required to power the magnet I don't think you could get from the number of batteries they showed. You would probably need a diesel driven power generator pulled behind the van to make the magnet work.

Jesse did make a big deal about how lucky Walt is when he proclaimed him the devil to sort of acknowledge how everything seemed to roll Walt's way through out the series. The show also sort of acknowledged Jesse's common sense contribution to things compared to Walt's educated mastermind skills when Walt couldn't operate the forklift to move the barrel in the lab without Jesse.

So a TV show script isn't all that scientifically bulletproof.

I miss that show, it was the best thing I've ever seen by far. That said, I don't know that I could watch it all again, it was so brutal.

I mean, the episode with the ATM, meth-head couple and their son? Painful to watch.

That series was a work of genius, no doubt, but I just don't need that take on the "human condition" anymore. I'd almost rather watch Anderson Silva's leg get snapped for 53 episodes in a row.

I can easily go back and watch it. Best show ever. I was sad to see it go, but the story had been told.
