I’ve been trolling that scene for the past year in my absence from XPT, and the girls don’t get shit. It’s still fairly lucrative & livable once they establish a name for themselves, however.

Skype is the way to go, if you find a means of collecting your money legitimately.

Some girls have gone the route of Amazon eGift cards for Skype shows; or buying them something off their wish lists, and they’ll work out the value in minutes, give or take. However, I’ve also read tales of girls losing the value of eGift cards before they can even spend them, b/c some scumbag calls Amazon & complains they “didn’t order that”, so the girl prints out her code to use later, and the whoremongers have already complained & the eGift card is rescinded / refunded, rendering it useless.

When collecting via Paypal, this seems to be a far larger issue. Girls accounts are frozen/suspended because they’re collecting funds for sexual solicitation. Again, this is in part because the consumer blows the whistle on them, many times in the process of trying to get their money refunded. So even if a girl makes enough to pay the rent in a few hours/days or camming, she could have her account frozen & reviewed by Paypal for WEEKS, and wouldn’t have that money available to use for rent (or car payment). Catch 22 & reason to stick with the cam sites.

Whores or not, that’s pretty low in the barrel to be scraping. If using Skype, the whores need a method to get a legit IP address maybe? Technology is a bitch.

The only problem for the consumer I’ve seen is that the girls getting $6.00/min at places like Streamate are still wanting $5.00/min on Skype, when in fact Streamate would only be paying them $1.50-2.40/min (25-40% from what I’ve been told). There doesn’t seem to be a happy medium to these math-challenged whores, say $3.50-4.50 per minute. Still making more than they would on Streamate, but since a host isn’t collecting their HALF (literally), but not having to pay anyone. I’m guessing that part of the 60% they’re NOT getting goes to CCbill or Epoch for collections?
