Cindy* got creative with the shirts this year, and I got some Rush TP. Also, my sis got me a $30 iTunes card and baked me some pumpkin bread. Along with the usual Cindy* odds and ends. I got myself a hugger that goes over the rear tire of the motorcycle to keep the rest of the bike clean back there. And they called me after the party, 'cause I have the extra set of church keys, they needed me to come lock up after the AA meeting, and I got the leftover homemade cookies. Emo Dog got a big bag of goodies from Cindy*, too.

The thing that I'm most excited about is a very small camera tripod which ought to help with my hamster photography. It has legs that are flexible and can be bent to grip the edge of an aquarium.

I lucked into a Bose Wave Radio. I know there are some things out there that sound better for less, but damn that little thing sounds amazing.

my boss got me a month of free yoga which imma start today. I got some pillows too.

It sounds startlingly nice for something so small. The audiophiles say it only sounds good to someone who doesn't know truly good sound, but then again they get off on such snobbery. The controls are very streamlined and remote dependent so an older person may have some difficulty.

The only thing I got for christmas was a credit card bill.

I'm wearing Axe [Appolo] now. It came as a free 1oz gift with the Axe scrubber.

I've had one for years, mine has a keypad on the radio itself. Didn't know that had changed.

"The audiophiles" are a strange bunch.

What Bose does well with their speakers is designing them so that they look good and sound all right for their size.
This is achieved via distortion, I think, so that various frequencies are attenuated.
For them to sound better they'd probably have to be bigger and not a lot of people actually want a home cinema setup with big speakers in their living room because they like it. It makes a difference though.

Bose's success is in their DSP processing. That's really the key to recent advances in audio. That, and quality control in manufacturing. More importantly, they are the only ones doing anything decent in that market. It's either the bose, or a piece of shit ipod dock box with 80s technology at best.
