Im just going to chime in here and speak for the tri-state area of NY. There are very many croakers willing to write whatever you want. Be it Medicaid, Private or Cash payment. The cash doctors charge $250-$275 for visit but will write for whatever you want. Then in turn the dealers use their Medicaid card, one time per medication, ex: if they go to 3 docs for Xanax, they will Medicaid one and pay for the other 2 scripts, a bottle of 120 2mg Xanax isn't that expensive, $50-60 depending on the pharmacy. Theyre generic Alprazolam but ppl want em and they cant stock em enough say the street pharmacists.
From junkies that I know, there are also Medicaid docs doing the same thing, pill mills, but they are very tight about giving up their docs names because then their sales drop.
But all of this is very, very possible as I see it often in an area outside of neighborhood. Its like shopping at Whole Foods. Whatever you want. Cash is king. And the doctors don't seem to be scared. They will dummy up patient files and make it like you've been getting therapy to go along with these meds. Its kinda nuts out here, anything, Oxys, Xanax, Klonopins, Catapress, Vicodins, Roxys, Ambien, Methadone (dolophine), Seroquil, etc, the list is long my friends. And as tax payers, we/you are paying for it. That's just my 2cents from seeing and experience.
