I like the Hillbillies, too. Probably because I had a middle school teacher who absolutely hated them. She was a snob. Next year, next school, her husband is a coach there and he is not a snob but a slob, who macked on 8th grade girls and did as little as possible. I asked him one day if he liked that show. I grew up watching Hillbillies and my avatar is an actress who was a recurring guest on Hillbillies. I know the show backwards and forwards. I love Green Acres too, but I don't have much love for Petticoat Junction. It would have made a fantastic porno as it is probably the horniest premise for a show ever. I just find it boring and always hated the redhead. The brunette sister is one of the first pics I posted in the "girls I would travel through time to fuck" thread. She was also on Hillbillies as a friend of Miss Jane's during the Grunyon Run arc towards the end of the series' run.
The film version of Hillbillies sucked ass. The only one who understood the content was Jim Varney. The rest missed it by a country mile.

We got three channels [sometimes] The channel that had Lost in Space wouldn't come in clear but my friend lived a couple hundred yards away and it came in great there. I was there every time it was on. WLOS out of Asheville NC only came in late at night and in the morning in the summer and most of the time during winter. It had Shock Theater, Sword and Sandal movies, The Three Stooges and The Avengers. Some of my favorites. I could get up early on Sat. for the Three Stooges and by 11 or noon the signal would fade in the summer and soon completely disappear.

American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Holy fuck, this thing is beyond. First of all, it has a ton of references to Tod Browning's Freaks. The cast is full of human oddities, both real and CGI'd. The set design and art direction is fucking beautiful. Tonight, Jessica Lange did a Marlene Dietrich version of Bowie's Life on Mars as a stage performance. It was the most beautiful thing I've seen on tv in recent memory.

I watched the second season in the Asylum and a bit of the first season in the house. I have not seen season three with the witches.

Oh yeah, Kathy Bates is in it and does the most awesome Maryland/Delaware accent.

Not sure on the chronology of The Knick and Wolf. Even if one debuted before the other it could have been in the script even before that. There are no original ideas in Hollywood these days.

Campy in a Scooby Doo way and when you add the idea that Tyson is actively participating in making a joke of himself it gets even funnier. The most vicious human being I've ever seen in a boxing ring is solving "mysteries" with a possibly gay ghost, a charlie-sheenlike man stuck in a pigeons body and his adopted white daughter with an oriental name.

fill me in a bit on the sons.i only saw the first half of last season(it got kind of repetetive and stale so i stopped watching as frequently(.did clay get out of the booty house?and why is juice locked up?i think the last one i watched was where the ira dickheads blew up their club house.actually it was the next one where it starts off with the cop that used to be a hard on to the sons telling them he knows it was the ira and he wants to help.

Clay got broken out of jail, but went out on a slab in a faked deal burn with the Irish, I think.

I think you need to catch up on the 2nd half of the last season. There was too much intertwined stuff to properly put it all in perspective.

Long, complicated story. Catching up on the last half of the season will help things make sense. The ostensible reason is shooting at some cops to get locked up to make a hit on the inside with the help of the AB. You can tell by Ron Tully reading him poetry that plans have changed.

i watched sons of anarchy tonight,and i guess now i feel more strongly about how i felt when watching the previous season;which is that theyve run out of ideas and its a good thing theyre wrapping things up.who the hell needed to get hit on the inside that the ab couldnt take care of it themselves?if the guy was in pc they couldve had someone from an underling aryan gang(except for the nazi lowriders which all pced up because of beef with the ab)pc up to kill him.not send gay ass juice to do it.
