Dude. They just tell you that shit because they're doctors and they hate you and your filthy habits. I've had six extractions, two of which included 9+ teeth. Smoked like a madman the moment I walked out the door. Only way you're getting dry socket is if you suck on cigarettes like you're sucking on a titty nipple tryin' to turn it purple. It's the suction that puts you in danger. If you drag lightly, you're all good. Just don't fuck with the clot via fingering/tongue/device and don't drink shakes through a small straw. Dry socket is rare amoungst the mentally capable.
