If you can afford to buy a ruler you will see there is the virtually no difference between 5 and 11/16 inches versus 6 inches. Certainly not any difference that the human eye can see.
If you're serious, then your wrong. 5/16 of an inch is almost 1/3 of an inch. It's certinly visible to the naked eye. I would hate to be the jusdge of that statement, though.
