They deserve to be in the Hall of Fame just for getting all that hair band bullshit off the airwaves. Radio and music TV changed dramaticaly in 1991 due to Nevermind. Sure, there was a signing wave of every band to wear thermals and shorts, and many of those bands were weak. But psychedelic bands did not drive british invasion out of the business. Disco did not put an end to rock radio. Punk did not drive dance music off the air.
Nevermind is a milestone in pop culture the same way Meet the Beatles was. It changed the landscape of pop culture. The Beatles killed off the crooners and Nirvana killed off the Sunset Strip hair bands. God bless them for that.
