Apparently the guy is a local indy worker gone rogue. His will be a quick 15 minutes.

So TNN has now singed 3 guys to old school Hogan/Turner type contracts. They got 3 MMA guys to crossover between Bellator and TNA. Rampage and Tito are washed up, King Mo was mid card who got caught juicing.

TNN had ECW, which they killed; WWF, which they couldn't hold onto because they killed the ratings; and UFC, which they lost to FOX. Now they have TNA, which is trying to recreate the dying days of WCW and Bellator, a shifty MMA outfit out of Philly.

A few years ago Bellator was like the #5-6 MMA company. There was UFC, PRIDE, StrikeForce, EliteXC, WEC, Affliction then Bellator. They didn't climb the ladder to #2 because of any great accomplishments. The others either went belly up or were purchased by UFC. With Randy Couture, Rampage and Tito int he fold, I expect them to try and fish Shamrock and Lidell out of the moth balls.

Sabin and Manik (TJ Perkins) put on a goddamn clinic last night.

This is why I prefer TNA. Bad booking and Hogan aside, they have a hell of a talented locker room and a refreshing lack of gimmicks. I only enjoy gimmicks when there's nothing else to admire. If you have amazing workers, you really don't need silly gimmicks.

I went to a party last night for the Summerslam event at LALive. Vince McMahon did a short speech and they showed some clips. All the venue staff said he was a total prick and very demanding. Then they had a presentation of the Xbox WWE 2K14 game which was cool. Then a panel discussion with Pete Hayman, Steve Austin, Ray Mystereo, Dolph Zigler, Daniel Bryant, Rick Flair, Mick Foley, and Jerry Lawler. Rick Flair was wasted as hell and kept going into long involved stories and telling trade secrets and gossip. One of the party planner guys told me they saw Flair at the hotel bar at 9am drinking beer and they believe he spent the entire day at the bar drinking until they walked him over to the event.
Jerry Lawler hit the buffet line right in front of me and took EVERY shrimp out of the paella and left the rice and sausage and crap for everyone else. The catering fag behind the server line jumped on his radio and called for back-up. Lawler could not have cared less.
Lots of bimbos and gamer-geeks, the party was sponsored by Xbox and the WWE.

I just read on LordsOfPain that Flair had to be removed from the stage and Cunt Stephanie went to the event to apologize to the people from 2Ksports. They also said that Flair has been trying to get an "ambassador" gig w/ the WWE, and this probably gonna tank it.
