I think you nailed it, pretty much, but there is something else nice guys forget: they aren't as nice as they think they are. I've noticed something about friends and acquaintances that get a lot of tail. They treat 99.9% of the women they meet like a potential hook-up. Hell, they'll treat other guys like a potential hook-up. If someone wants to be smooth, they've got to put the time into being smooth. It's 24/7, it's about liking people in general because they like banging hot broads in particular.
Yeah, they're under the impression that women just wanted to be treated with consideration regardless of any kind of chemistry. They don't realize that the women that are into "douchebags" are like that because they are extremely shallow and wouldn't make for a good partner anyway. While physical attraction is important for the most part, personality alone can get you laid by chicks that you may feel are out of your league. A sense of humor goes a long, long, way. I've bagged some incredible girls in my day with humor alone. If you can make her laugh, she will warm up to you. They hold doors open and dress dapper and feel like that's enough. Who cares if I masturbate to a cartoon that's aimed at little girls, I'm nice. The fact that this men's rights shit is actually a thing is so absurd that it's comical. Men aren't being oppressed, fedora-wearing nice guys that like to talk about "how hot fluttershy's cartoon horse ass is" are the one's being oppressed, but not by women or society or any kind of secret fucking agenda. They're being oppressed by their own delusions of what women really want.
