I don't know how much this has been discussed, because I haven't been around much and frankly just haven't been feeling it lately, but I feel XPT needs something fresh to laugh at.

Apparently there's a huge "movement" going on amoung guys that can't get laid. There seems to be some prerequisite criteria to fit into this noble cause. Participants must require at least two of the following:

-Must be a "nice" guy
-Must be of the attitude that being "nice" should
automatically get you laid.
-Must wear a Fedora
-Must have a fanboy obssesion with some kind of media,
usually My Little Pony, but comics and video games work too
-Must be physically unappealing
-Must be under the impression that girls are impossible to
be "freinds" with, or put in the "friendzone" as they would
put it

These are delusional individuals that believe not only are women evil, but purposely hold down nice guys and only fuck douchebags due to some unexplained phenomena. Seriously, this is a fucking thing. Google it.

I'm picturing the letdown when one of these Bronys actually lands a girlfriend. You know it'll end something like this:

With the exception of the fedora and the My Little Pony, I can admit I've been there. I've been friends with lots of girls that would bang anything with a pulse except me. But they think nothing of drunk dialing you all hours to whine about how they latest mope was a mope. It's certainly nothing I'd have said out loud to anyone, let alone joined a forum to hug it out with other losers.

That's exactly the thing, TUP. These guys are so goddamn critical of everyone but themselves. They don't seem to grasp that physical attraction is a big part of starting a relationship. They act like they deserve a 9 or 10 just because they're "nice". They play way out of their league. They watch excess porno and have masturbated themselves into the idea that only the hottest of hot women are what's on the playing field. I think you nailed it, pretty much, but there is something else nice guys forget: they aren't as nice as they think they are. I've noticed something about friends and acquaintances that get a lot of tail. They treat 99.9% of the women they meet like a potential hook-up. Hell, they'll treat other guys like a potential hook-up. If someone wants to be smooth, they've got to put the time into being smooth. It's 24/7, it's about liking people in general because they like banging hot broads in particular.

Yeah, they're under the impression that women just wanted to be treated with consideration regardless of any kind of chemistry. They don't realize that the women that are into "douchebags" are like that because they are extremely shallow and wouldn't make for a good partner anyway. While physical attraction is important for the most part, personality alone can get you laid by chicks that you may feel are out of your league. A sense of humor goes a long, long, way. I've bagged some incredible girls in my day with humor alone. If you can make her laugh, she will warm up to you. They hold doors open and dress dapper and feel like that's enough. Who cares if I masturbate to a cartoon that's aimed at little girls, I'm nice. The fact that this men's rights shit is actually a thing is so absurd that it's comical. We're all pretty much the same--men and women. There's no great mystery about the opposite sex no matter which side of the great divide you're sitting on while wondering about those on the other side.

I am pretty unlikely to have sex with a nice woman I am not physically attracted to and I think it is pretty unlikely that a woman is going to have sex with me if she's not attracted to me simply because I'm nice to her.

The thing that makes life so confusing is the variability in what people find physically attractive. There is no gold standard. Just look at any one of the posts on this site where people put up pictures of supposedly "attractive" women. Those threads are full of horrible mutants some guy is lusting after. It is the variability in what individual people find physically attractive that allows the occasional ugly dude without money to date a supermodel, not tricks or a sense of humor, or a nice personality.
