According to reports, he wasn't happy being left off RAW, and for what his Wrestlemania storyline was going to be so he called Vince and told him that he was going home and wouldn't be back. Speculation is that his contract is up in July and his only goal left was to headline Mania. Seeing that wasn't going to happen, he got butthurted and split.

i saw a story this morning that police are re-opening their investigation into Jimmy Superfly Snuka's girlfriends death by blunt trauma to the head. Seems he is the only person of interest.

So the story goes, she was high as hell on coke and jumped.

Wrestlecrap (probably fictitious rumor from the net) has it that he pushed her and Vince played it off as Snuka was a barely literate savage from Fiji. The expected wrestling promotion with Jeff Jarrett and country music star Toby Keith is said to be a long way from happening. The partnership came together when TNA was for sale and Jarrett went through his Nashville music industry connections trying to put together a bid to buy the company. The deal was reportedly very close at one point.

Bob Carter came to Keith to finalize the deal and the two sides were close on a price, although they were not quite there. The belief is they were going to hash it out but Carter only had one request in selling, which was that Dixie Carter would remain with her title, have some power in the company and remain a TV character.

Keith said he wasn’t going to buy the company with any creative limitations so the deal actually fell apart because Bob Carter in the end was going to protect his daughter. Someone in TNA close to the situation said, “That’s why we all are still here,” noting if it was about business, TNA would have never survived after the big move to primetime TV and the Hulk Hogan debacle failed to stop the company from losing money. At that point, the feeling was from Keith and Jarrett that they didn’t need to buy the company as they could start their own.

When this story got out within TNA, those who believed Janice Carter's memo about not selling realized they had been had.

Regarding Jarrett and Keith's promotion, one person with knowledge described it as being in step 1 of a 10 step project and that it would likely be late this year at the earliest before it's off the ground.

Jarrett has a great mind for the business and Keith is a passionate fan. We were buying the weekly PPVs and it was great television. Tell the Carter's to fuck off. The company the Carter/ Russo/ Hogan/ Bischoff stink on it. Buy it and you're looking at least a year to clean it off. I think they'd be better starting from scratch, while watching Dixie trying and failing to be Mr. McMahon and taking the ship down with them.

To be honest with you, I don't even think WWE would be interested in their video archive. Maybe to get the Angle stuff, but the offer would be minuscule.

And I totally agree about the loser stank being on the company. Jarrett and Keith should build something around X-division guys and broads. Maybe have Jarrett as the HW Champ, and just bring one off guys in for 2-3 month programs. He don't even have to call himself the champ, just make him the King of the Mountain, and commissioner of the brand, and have guys fight him to try and take over the company.

Regarding Jeff Jarrett's new promotion, while country music star Toby Keith is the main person behind it, it will likely be financed by a group of partners and not just with Keith's money. At last report, Keith was worth $500 million, which is a lot more than Vince McMahon was worth before WWE stock went through the roof. When the group was looking at buying TNA, it was always described as "Nashville music investors."

Jarrett appeared on February 22nd at a sports convention in Nashville and didn't say much about the new promotion except that it is "a go" and he talked about the idea of doing a Tuesday night TV show.

Extreme Rising canceled their show again.

First they did email blasts saying that seats were still available in the first 4 rows and, if you bought one, you could get in early for a Q&A. Then they tried to pull out the national TV taping BS again. Now today they sent an email saying the contractor couldn't get the arena up to snuff to pass an inspection. Considering how how last time they only had 3 operational toilets, and no stalls to shit in, I aint surprised. This is the second show in a row that got canceled. Pittsburgh one was canceled due to snow, in Jan.
