I'm 99.99% sure it doesn't even mention the pyramids in the Torah. The pyramids were built long before further south from where the Bible says they were. Plus, the buildings they built were built with clay bricks with straw added to aid firing, not stone. Exodus 5:7 is clear on that. So, I'm not sure why you were taught about the pyramids.

"Forty" is a used by Semites to mean "many". Like "Ali Baba and the forty thieves". Rarely is it literal. Although I'm not sure they've found much evidence of any group "wandering" and "camping" in the Sinai for even 5 years.

I'm also sure the Earth, let alone the universe, is older than any literal calculation of the timeline in the bible. And, I'm also pretty sure the Earth came after the Sun.
