I mean "we" as a society. The blinders we put on to "make history". The constant playing of the race card and the undying fear of it. The fact that a grown ass man, a journalist, can talk about the shiver running up his leg about a POTUS (any POTUS) and still keep his job. The pure Nixonianness of the whole dog and pony show and the absolute refusal of the media and the society to deal with it in an adult fashion.

No, History will not look kindly at us. The animal in the White House is just a symptom.
