My one experience with a tornado I saw was when I worked in Madison TN.

I was working in a strip mall atop a plateau that overlooked a mall in 1985.

It was a very narrow tornado. No 2 mile wide thing. More like a thread or a finger.

It sprayed cars in the mall parking lots out of its way when it touched down. It pushed cars around and scattered powerlines & traffic signals as it danced thru an intersection before it jumped up again.

Then the hail came back again.
