The back and forth between him and nicejewishgirl was so incredibly boring… I read 2, skimmed about 8 more and just skipped that bullshit altogether. I have seen some pretty blatantly fucked up things in this business in my twenty plus years but this one takes the cake. Saturday night AVN gave what was once our industry’s most prestigious award to a piracy site, Pornhub (Owned by Manwin).

Pornhub is one of the worlds largest tube sites and one of the worlds largest infringers of copyrights. Pornhub is largely responsible for the decline in business that this industry has seen over the past several years. They have stolen content and used it to make themselves rich. They took food off of your table if you are in this industry, they took right out of the mouths of your family and said back to you “fuck you”.

And Saturday night AVN showed every single one of you what they think of you, they gave Pornhub an AVN Award for “Best Free Site”.

Now the question becomes what are you going to do about it?

Will Jules Jordan (Who says he fights piracy) redeem himself and pull his ads from AVN?

Will Evil Angel pull their ads?

Elegant Angel? Vivid? Wicked? Will people in this industry stand up for themselves or will they just roll over?

The only power AVN has is the power that the advertisers give them, if I were an advertiser I would never again allow my name in that magazine. They have stooped to the lowest of the low. It is now time for the people in porn to declaw and defang this paper tiger.

I thought Theo Sapoutzis was a decent person but it turns out he is just another person ready to sell out this industry and my bet is the sheep in this industry will continue to support him. Update on AVN Award For Best Piracy Site

It seems a lot more than 4 or 5 of you were upset about this enough to email Theo at AVN. I got copied on a lot of emails to that effect. Know that if you are considering taking your business elsewhere you are NOT alone, not by a long shot. I am sure XBiz would welcome the revenue or that you could find a place for it should you determine it doesnt even need to be spent at all.

This was a boneheaded move by AVN to be sure and the fact that nobody there has owned up to this yet just further exemplifies how out of touch with this industry they truly are.

As one company owner said it, It doesn’t just hurt AVN when they do something like this, it hurts all of us because it makes it appear that we see this as an acceptable practice, when we do not.

AVN has chosen to lay low on this and hope the storm passes.

I sincerely hope you guys don’t let the storm pass, I hope you remember and that you hold AVN and Theo accountable for this assault on our industry.

Is Fortress Investment Group The Source of Manwins Money?

I have been working this story for a couple of weeks, here is what I found:

The first thing you need to do is read this document.

RCGT – Teaser Project Online

This is a document outlining an ” investment opportunity” from Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton based in Montreal Canada.

The document clearly is touting Manwin as “The company” and indicates it is seeking 167,000,000 dollars in financing.

The interesting part is who apparently bit and provided the financing.

I got a confidential email claiming that:

” I’d like to point out to you that Fortress Investment Group (NYSE: FIG) is the investment company that is funding many of these acquisitions.”

I made several attempts to get a response from Fortress Investment Group. I got one response that basically asked who I was and who I write for, I told them and never again heard back.

So when Fabian said in his Adult Expo keynote address that he had ” nine figures in financing from a Wall Street Bank”, it appears that he was talking about Fortress Investment Group.

Speaking of Fabian, word is now that he is out at Manwin. Which is interesting since he always claimed he OWNED Manwin, of course I always maintained that he was little more than just a front man, a fall guy….and it would appear he has taken the fall. Manwin is being tight lipped and low key right now with Feras Antoon (formerly President of Mansef) apparently in charge (probably has been all along) word is Manwin is waiting for all of this to blow over, they are no longer funding the FSC or “other un-necessary ventures”. They are hoping that this doesn’t blow back into investigations in the US and Canada. Meantime they have let go 30% of the employees in Hamburg, which was a small operation anyway. They are, however hiring many positions in the new offices in Dublin Ireland, where Fabian announced (prior to his arrest) that the new headquarters were being re-located.

The interesting thing here is Fortress Investment Group being the source of Manwins financing. Hopefully someone with more resources than I can vet this out properly.

I have heard a similar story about Fabian, apparently the Manwin people are distancing themselves as much as they can, letting him take the fall. Perhaps at some point in the future they may take him back on, but for the moment, all signs point to him being dumped. Don’t feel bad for him, however, because I still think he is the actual owner of the German amateur site, which is probably why Manwin is getting away from him – that is apparently the real legal cesspool.

I think that it’s funny that a table saw missing a plastic guard and spreader is as big an issue if not more than the condom or safety issues on set.

The first two items can easily be addressed once and put to bed, as they will never have to actually be used – as their would have to be proof of an exposure on set during filming, in a manner timely enough to merit the employer doing something. So they need to pay someone to write them up a nice story and assemble the parts, sort of on par with a first aid kit.

The “condoms or other barriers” issue is the hard one to get around, although I have a feeling that someone may have a good argument on this one coming. I have a feeling that one or more porn companies may try to get porn work put into the same category as stunt work, in that the performers are paid to knowingly take certain risks, and that all other safety procedures are in place to protect them. Otherwise, there would be no valid stunt work in California, because there would always be risk that could be avoided (don’t drive that car full of explosives, it’s dangerous!).

1) Assault has a legal definition, and its elements are not satisfied by an argument. I was never charged with assault. There was never any warrant either.
2) Defamation also has a legal definition, and it definitely could not be sustained by what I wrote about Schwyzer.
3) The TRPWL article (which I requested be removed when this situation was resolved) was not written by me, but it was accurate. I regret deeply the events which precipitated its publication, but the article barely even touched on the events in Las Vegas, let alone ‘skewed’ them. Her defamatory reply blog (since deleted), however, contained inaccurate claims such as that some of the texts I published had been fabricated. They are ALL 100% legitimate and accurate, and the substance of them has been admitted to in writing. I will accept that this was an error caused by an oversight. The issue is now moot, however, since both articles are now withdrawn and the matter resolved.
4) There is no “team” at Mo-Fo’s hate site.
5) I never stole any car, and the rental car in question was never stolen. It was parked in the hotel garage. I was also never sought for stealing a car. There was never any such warrant.
6) Miss Reed is her friend. I defended myself against their public version of events, which included some of the claims the lonely drunk Mo-Fo has repeated: that I stole her car and phone (her phone never left the bar); that I was on the run from police; the idiotic idea that a screenshot of MY OWN phone screen showing a text from her indicated I’d stolen her texts, that there was ever a warrant out on me in either Las Vegas or Los Angeles, etc…
7) It’s very simple to file a TRO, and in fact I had been advised — by counsel AND by Hollywood police detectives — to file one of my own first thing Monday morning. That will no longer be necessary since the situation has been resolved completely. Neither of us will be going to court, nor do we wish to,
8) Mo-Fo tried desperately to get my ex to join forces with her against me, but she ignored and rejected the wonky-eyed scumbag’s overtures. That speaks volumes about my ex, as well as about Mo-Fo’s disgusting, anti-sex worker mindset, lies, and outright bigotry. I am grateful that at NO time did my ex even consider selling out to a soulless predator who owns/supports hate sites.
9) I protected my Twitter on advice of counsel, and will un-protect my tweets shortly. 10) ALL of my ex’s negative tweets about me have been deleted. Accordingly, all of mine about her are now deleted as well.
