In my book, a 'Star' is someone who commands authority because of a supreme talent. A 'Star' calls the shots.

But has it really been that way in porn?

Now things don't look so good. Sure the numbers are better but so far from reasonable they might as well be the same.

My opposition to condom-only porn is because I believe that it would make porn less safe, and that we would see more HIV outbreaks. I believe condoms would displace AIM testing and result in less overall protection.

Thus far I believe that AIM testing and rigorous exclusion of all HIV+ performers as being behind the overall success in HIV prevention in porn since AIM was founded. With bareback porn I would guess most of the performers take testing fairly seriously as do the producers (T.T. Boy aside).

But if condoms are required I suspect people are so bombarded with claims that "condoms prevent HIV" that they'll slip on test demands, and people will be providing non-AIM results, unverifiable results, and fake HIV- results.

People are often a little more cautious when they perceive an element of danger. If they believe condoms eliminate that danger then caution may fly out the window, and a test result (or lack thereof) that is a non-starter today might well be grudgingly accepted since "it'll be OK - we're using condoms".

Stars don't call the shots. They cost too much money, and the movies they star in are too expensive to produce, and the people putting up the money for the movies want to sell as many movie tickets and DVDs as possible. Stars may be treated like royalty during production and they may get the small things they want, but they do whatever the producers and investors think will sell movies. The people who get to call the shots are the people who put up the money for their own movies or work in low budget independent projects. Melissa Lauren calls more shots than Mel Gibson, except when Gibson is paying for his own movie.

Anal sex is what homosexuals love. Again, all the emphasis on anal has really just fed into the psyche of the man who hasn't come to terms with the fact that he likes the smell of ass. The smell of ass is a gay trait. Straight men like pussy.

What's missing in porn, is an approach to MASS MARKETING.

People like to fall in love with STARS.

It's hard to fall in love with a girl you know is escorting, getting peed on by men, doing drugs and drinking, and may have an STD or HIV.

Since no one has really tried my idea yet, it's hard for most of you to imagine the impact of it.

SAWYER: "So, let's get a few things straight, Ms. Goddess. First, you say you're a proponent of safe sex in porn. Is that true?

GODDESS: "Absolutely. I had safe sex before I got into this industry, and I will ONLY have safe sex while I'm in this industry. STD's and HIV are NOT cool. Have you seen pictures of what these things can do? It's frightening how many people just don't understand what can happen."

SAWYER: "Tell me if I'm wrong, but you seem to be a woman with a mission. Is that true? Are you on a mission?"

GODDESS: "You bet I am. Pornography is changing. Sex does NOT have to kill to be fun, and enjoyable. Women don't have to become rape victims on camera to get men off. There's a larger market of porn viewers out there that have largely been ignored for the past four years. I call them the 'unjaded'. The normal people. The people whom 'porn creep' has no effect on. The people I'd want to hang out with."

SAWTER: "Are there people in the industry you won't hang out with?"

GODDESS: "Oh my, yes. I can count the number of people I like, and trust, on one hand. I don't party, I don't do drugs, I don't escort, and I don't do nasty things that would appeal to the worst side of humanity. The industry is full of people on the wrong path. It has been for a long, long time. I'm here to change all that. Like you said, I'm a woman on a mission, I guess."

SAWYER VOICE OVER: "We were curious to find out whether this 'Goddess' was too good to be true, so we asked her if our cameras could accompany her to one of her sets. What we found was SHOCKING. Safe sex, instead of the 'throw caution to wind' type sex of past porn, was now the way things were done. And what was truely amazing was the performers. These weren't your drugged up, spaced out porn perfomers of the past. This new generation of performer was, how shall we say...more mature?

SAWYER: "From what our cameras could see, it looked like you were having a pretty good time. Were you? Is it work, or is it fun?"

GODDESS: "It's both. The difference is that with the new Cal/OSHA rulings, you don't have to die doing it. It's brought better talent into the industry, and the quality of the product has gone way up."

SAWTER: "So, what does a porn 'Goddess' do after work. For instance, what are your plans for tonight?"

GODDESS: "Tonight I'm having dinner at a wonderful little restaurant in Avalon, over on Catalina. Really great wine, and the food is definitely worth the trip. After that? Who knows. I'm looking forward to seeing 'The Passion of the Christ' on DVD. I saw it in the theaters, and loved it."

SAWYER: "A porn star who enjoys The Passion of the Christ? Let me get this straight..."

GODDESS: "I'm comfortable with my contradictions. It's a great movie. It's a great story. And Mel Gibson is an amazing writer, and director. Just because I have sex on camera doesn't mean I'm a bad person, or stupid, or desperate. I enjoy what I do. I pick my talent, I pick my scripts, I pick my directors. I make a better product, a product I'm proud of. Off camera, I look just like any other pretty young woman, and I conduct myself that way. Contradictions can be sexy...dontcha think?"

SAWYER: "Well Ms. Goddess, I must admit, on behalf of ABC News...we've never seen anything like you. We're at loss, I guess, to categorize you."

GODDESS: "Thank you."

SAWYER VOICE OVER: "We aren't sure where Goddess' career will go from here. She already has a recording contract, a major Hollywood movie in the works, and is currently dating one the the former members of N'Sync. We can tell you this: No one has never seen anything like Goddess before, and we sure to keep on watching for her next move.
