Upon looking at the Alexa stats, killing the comments probably won't kill the site. 3k+ sites linking in and 73% of the traffic are bounces who only read one page.


Thanks, the LF site has had decreasing commentary for some time now, generally kissing ass for a select few but even that has tapered off. The LIB website gets mentions and links in large part because people go there to see the shouting matches or accusations tossed about. If that is gone due to a prohibition on negativity, the path will lead to fewer checking it out.

I think of it as a marketing plan; AVN and XBiz are industry sources that rarely get involved with picking sides in a dispute, the purely gossip websites like Mike's and former LIB have always had a place for the charges that the big boys won't handle, and the fan website forums are designed for the guys to interact with performer publicists posing as performers (as much as the performers themselves-I've been approached by both types revealing how they participate).
