How do y'all think Ty would've worked out today? And I'm talking about his ability be relative to the time. How would his exuberance, zest for life, play in today's atmosphere?
He would be fine in todays game. Pete Rose was a miserable prick who hated everyone but his bookie, he was OK. Cobb wouldn't have a John Rocker moment, because Cobb had a brain in his head.

Sure. Hand/eye coordination is the crux of it. They would have the same difficulties against Verlander and Kershaw that they did against Walter Johnson and Cy Young. Size of the stadiums and style of play would vastly change the stats, though.
The top pitchers could play today too, because if you can put the pitch where you want it, you are going to be productive.
