Kelli is the one who contributes to the other Luke website, Lukeford.com, as "Gossip Girl", has a "awards" show of her own based on her own website (the registry one), and worked as an internet marketing flunky for Blue Bird Films until they dumped her. Her comments included the belief that Manwin paid $150 million for Digital Playground, that Bluebird was a major player in porn (right up until they canned her, upon which time she began shit talking them), and a host of other observations that guys like Mike South have publicly scoffed at.

She spends a great deal of time on the XBiz industry forums where she actually manages to help some people from time to time, but her role at LIB seems destined to fail if her contributions are as limited as they have been on the LF website. For whatever reasons, Cindi decided to dump LIB as it was detrimental to her health, the asking price being an outrageous $50k. I suspect there would be as many buyers for the website as Fleshbot has received since announcing it was for sale, none coming up with even a moderate offer at last glance.

Whatever claim of "tens of thousands of visitors daily" have been made, the majority of material on the front end have been press releases with limited commentary. The bulk of the rest of the material has been Cindi stirring up controversy by allowing assholes like porn hating Lubben to provide articles or those with an axe to bear. The most prolific commentator on LIB has been Jeremy Steele, his conspiracy rants on all sorts of topics derailing the occasionally interesting material, making the signal to noise ratio pretty weak.

Now, Kelli is coming in to "clean up", her stated mission is that; "Any trash talk, negative comments, insults, etc. will be ignored, deleted, moderated." If this means she will take an ADT-style stand of double talk, there will be nothing to draw the crowd to see because that was Luke's selling point when he started BOTH websites (LF and LIB), publishing any rumor, any gossip, and any silly BS that came his way. By simply dropping Jeremy she will improve the website substantially, albeit at the cost of their unofficial court jester. Given how sensitive she has been in the past with regard to negative comments though, I suspect the purge will kill the website.

Reprinting press releases that are already everywhere else won't cut it. Refusing to allow people to anonymously vent when they feel wrong is the antithesis of LIB, the push here should be to get the quality commentators and insiders, the lengthy recent history of riding the fence having reduced the quality of the website nearly as much as Jeremy. I wish her well though because I doubt there will be any investigative articles, those take time and energy, and if she plays favorites as she has at LF, it will simply become another propaganda website.

I skipped around that lukeford.com and clicking on random articles over the first 6-7 pages, I did not see a comment on any of them. If that is the type of site she wants LIB to be, then just turn the comments off.

Upon looking at the Alexa stats, killing the comments probably won't kill the site. 3k+ sites linking in and 73% of the traffic are bounces who only read one page.

Thanks, the LF site has had decreasing commentary for some time now, generally kissing ass for a select few but even that has tapered off. The LIB website gets mentions and links in large part because people go there to see the shouting matches or accusations tossed about. If that is gone due to a prohibition on negativity, the path will lead to fewer checking it out.

I think of it as a marketing plan; AVN and XBiz are industry sources that rarely get involved with picking sides in a dispute, the purely gossip websites like Mike's and former LIB have always had a place for the charges that the big boys won't handle, and the fan website forums are designed for the guys to interact with performer publicists posing as performers (as much as the performers themselves-I've been approached by both types revealing how they participate).

that being said i cant argue with kellis decision to put steele on high ignore. he's simply bad business or a sideshow freak at best. the argument that he drove traffic with his comment section antics might be valid but cindi allowing him op/ed pieces was either a cruel tactic on her part to punish readers or a failed troll that ended up costing her $$ on the business end. in the end...who fucken cares.
