Is kale good in a salad? I've always had it slightly steamed. I thought it might be too bitter uncooked.

Yes, kale is great in salads. No need to steam, but the texture is better if you de stem it and slice it in strips. Feel free to mix it with other lettuce like romaine. To de stem, hold vertically and run fingers down both sides of stem to remove the leaf off its stem.

Chicken salad at Pei Wei. Never again. I thought it'd be grilled, not fried and coated in goop and glop even though the cashier followed directions on my no dressing preference. Then I leave and see it's owned by PF Chang's. Of course. Now Gia's Mope and I are pissed we wasted $19 when Malibu Fish Market next door was having a lunch special.

$19 = 19x Banquet spaghetti & meatball trays.

$19 = 19 meals of veggies and fruit (bought in bulk from co-ops) and grains I already have at home.

Or a grocery store if appearance and taste are of any value.

Co-ops and farmers markets taste better and are cheaper. Though, I do buy some stuff at trader joe. But farmers market in walking dist to me is open tmrw. So excited!

Are these meal on the wheels?

It sounds like it would be healthier and at the same price as the street meat you consume with abandon.

My first time eating crawfish. I wasn't prepared for just being served a plastic bag of crawfish and eating them right there on the paper table cloth, no plates. My nail brush at home later got some use. Tasty, they're tiny so you eat many to get satiated with enough meat. I'll do it again if a future dining partner wants crawfish, but I probably won't crave it on my own.

So you won't be eating at Popeye's then?

Oh man, I am not going there^^. Thanks for the kale advice. I am getting tired of bokchoi, mustard and collard greens and swiss chard in the greens dept.

Try daikon. It's not green but it's a veggie.
