A week ago we built a walker for Traveler. He's the happiest thing ever to be able to get around rather than flopping side-to-side. A few hours a day for a week and it seems as though he's gaining strength in his hind legs. He'll never be able to walk but at least now he can get around this way. smile

Materials used:

1/2in x 10ft 600 PSI schedule 40 PVC, 4 elbows, 4 castor wheels and 1/2in inserts. Gorilla glue to adhere the inserts in the PVC. Then the primer and glue for the PVC. A cheap towel you can get from a dollar store. Probably altogether no more than $20.

We spent an extra $8 for a harness to help stabilize him more because he's a more severe case of cerebellar hypoplasia; which affects his ability to balance more than most cases.
