Now I gotta order a headlight assembly. One junk yard wanted $45 for a hazy one, but I can get a new after market for $49 shipped.

So about $230 total + time and gas. At 225K miles, I may just rattle can the paint. I need a new ride by winter.

Oh and in 4 months, my insurance is sure to go up $100/month.

Rear ended a guy in Staten Island. Pacing behind an SUV on my way home. Dude hit his breaks and darted over into center lane. When I could see around him I saw 3 cars stopped in the left hand lane. I nailed the breaks. With construction going on, there was no shoulder, just concrete median. I angled as far to the left as I could and wound up hitting the guy in the driver side rear. Basically my passenger side headlight impacted just under his driver side tail light. No airbags went off. He jumped out of his car holding his neck, but didn't get in the ambulance he had them call.
