So ... my ditsy cousin whom I haven't seen since 1969 gets lost on the way back to the hotel she decides I should stay in which is just a couple blocks from the apartment she says she used to have and we pass a "Noho Diner" ... so I start to wonder if it has anything to do with the "Noho Star" I sometimes frequented in 2000-2002.

Turns out that it's two different NoHos. Both No's are north. But the Ho's aren't related. Much like Theodore and Edward might merge at "Ted".

Anyway ... enroute there's this sign on what looks like a road overpass that claims we are crossing a river. After I get dropped off I decide to eschew the free drink being offered by the clerk for their restaurant and see this river.

There isn't a river. It's like a hybrid of roadway with no cars and in what should be the median is a man-made water channel thatt in Florida they would call a "canal". Only the water is RUSHING past.

And then there's this sign warning that you shouldn't throw things into the "river" because it empties to the ocean. But, it's running due east. And the Pacific is due west.

I found it intriguing. Much like "The Grove" with no trees.
