I know Nick Diaz will be totally outclassed, but I want him to win soooo bad. I want him to win because GSP has become painfully boring with his Dry Hump Challenge matches. I want him to win so Dana's head explodes being forced to deal with the guy.

Here is the Press Conference for the fight. Nick can't work a mic like Ric Flair, but I think he has the Macho Man/Scott Steiner promo down pat. Edge of my seat to hear what he is going to say, or attempt to say next. Box of rocks dumb plus has to go off the meds for the fight equals gold.

diaz has been raising hell with dana white avoiding film crews sent out to get prelim coverage of the title fight at a cost of over 50k, demanding upgrades to his travel plans, and just being a knucklehead in general.

i hope gsp breaks his face but he's going to have to keep up with the pace diaz sets and there aren't many people that can hang with nick.

Shields hurt GSP with an over hand right and just kept throwing that thing all night. Shields has shit stand up. If Nick can get a shot in that hurts GSP, I can see him mixing it in with combos and GSP wilting. GSP don't like to get hit/hurt.

Also, as stupid as Diaz is, I agree with the point deduction and standing fighters up to combat lay and pray. I also like his idea of bringing over the Jap style 10minute round.

i agree with you but the 10 minute round won't work for the ufc simply because the fans demand action. it's to the point now that if there's too much ground game the crowd starts booing which is ridiculous.

Is it? Striking generally looks more impressive, no matter whether ground work or however they call it is technically performed flawlessly.

I think someone's getting finished in this fight. Gsp plays it safe , but Diaz is not the guy who is gonna sit there and wait. I'd like to see gsp and hendricks win (for obvious reasons).

I was reading Matt Hughes' take on the fight.

He seems think that Diaz could take advantage in Rnds 4 and 5, because of conditioning. He says that this is the first time GSP has been in there with a guy that is better conditioned. He also says GSP by decision because of superior wrestling.

Starting sometime before the 13minute mark, Diaz flat out says he doesn't think they will be tested in Montreal. He goes on to say that GSP is probably on steroids and Dana is complicit. Nick says he hopes to pass a piss test for weed.

conditioning goes to nick. he's done the swim from alcatraz...more than once. and that's what i was saying...you can't hang with the pace diaz sets so you'd better get him on the ground and off his game. and diaz may pass the first test they give him for weed but much like bj penn it's a lifestyle for him.

After Hendricks, GSP should just retire. No way in hell he is going to be able to compete w/ Spider Silva. If he takes that fight, then he is going to have to have a side bonus on a loss, for diminishing his brand. Silva/Jon Jones is the fight I want to see.
