As already mentioned, Crysis 3 is hardware meth.
On the hardest difficulty, there's actually some fun to be had and the AI and level design seem to work better together than in the three previous titles of the series.
With everything dialed up to deluxe and the best anti-aliasing available for Nvidia cards - the game seems to be optimised for AMD cards, judging by the trailer when starting the thing - there simply is nothing better in gaming in terms of graphical detail and post processing opulence. Actually impressive and utilising plenty of hardware generally underused in most other games.

I'm not sure if you'll dig it as much, Pipe. You seem to be more elitist and into a challenge. Tomb Raider is not challenging in the least (maybe on hard difficulty, but the normal difficulty setting has been gravy to me so far), but goddamn is it fun. I do enjoy a challenge, but not if it sucks out the fun. Super Meat Boy is a good example of a game that was excruciatingly challenging, while still being fun. Tomb Raider controls like a dream and just has a very satisfying flow to it. I'm going to be sad when it's all over.

Here's a little bit of what I'm talking about with the set-pieces:
