@ivor Absolutely true on the dad thing. I can't even imagine pulling shit while my dad was around. The problem is that we're talking about a rage that overwhelms any fear you have of anything. Put a different way, I can't imagine pulling a knife on my mom...or anyone...short of a threat to me and mine. I wouldn't do it because it's not in me.

Remember after 9/11 there was talk about letting airline pilots carry? The main thing against it was "what if the pilot freaks out and rampages?". Because it would be easier for a pilot to shoot up the passengers than to corkscrew the plane into the ground. There isn't a chance in hell that the NEA will allow armed civilian guards in schools. What if the guard freaks?

All due respect to EY, but the debate has started. What I'm hearing is a lot of "do something...anything". We get into that cycle too often in this country. We want to feel better, no matter whether the "solution" works or not.

I guess we're lucky that we have good hearted folks in DC that want to solve the problem, no matter their political agenda.
