It's fun to play 6 degrees of separation with east coast bands as there's actually very little space between the Lemon Heads/Juliana Hatfield and more scuzzy acts like Jerry's Kids, Gang Green, Killslug and he like. My favorite story reading about was Larry Lifeless almost decapitating Evan Dando with the scythe he used to carry around.
