I gotta disagree. Dictatorships need an enemy abroad (cue the Truthers and Birthers to jump in). Having the Great Satan 90 miles away has kept him in power long after Soviet help dried up. The regime needs the embargo way more than we do. Which isn't saying much because the embargo has been an albatross around America's neck since day 1.

It would all be moot had JFK nutted up at the Bay.
