I don't know about Barry O and Cuba. We were coming pretty close normalizing Cuba under Clinton. The Cubans made sure that wouldn't happen when they shot down the Doctors Without Borders plane. The embargo gives the Castro regime an enemy that they need to hang onto their power. It's much more valuable to them than it is to us.

If we learned nothing else from Pope's death on SOA, the head may be cut off, but the business goes on. The simple death of the Beard won't bring an end to the regime or the embargo.
