@chuck From the Romeo y Julieta wikipedia listing: "Romeo y Julieta is the name of two brands of premium cigar, one produced on the island of Cuba for Habanos SA, the Cuban state-owned tobacco company, and the other produced in La Romana, Dominican Republic for Altadis SA, a division of Imperial Tobacco."

Several of the bigger brands are this way. The split happened when the cigar industry was nationalized after the Revolution. A lot of owners were labeled "enemies of the People" and bailed the Worker's Paradise before they ended up facing a firing squad. The idea of evil corporate running dogs up against a wall kind of gives you wood, doesn't it, chuck? Anyhoo, they set up shop wherever they landed.

@bornyo What size and how much were those sticks? Did you get a manufacture date? And most importantly, how good were they?
