This is something that i have held back on for a while and i never really hold back on anything, because im the toughest guy in the world behind my computer screen, like sammura is an A grade pornstar behind hers. But its something that has bothered and confused me for a while.

Lets get this out now, a lot, LOT of porn stars read these forums, some even regulars but the majority of us don't know, why??. Because they never post, again you ask why?, heres the kicker. It has nothing, NOTHING to do with them, but companies and people high up in the industry, as it turns out, porn stars making regular posts on porn forums is frowned upon and in a few cases may lead to their fees per scene to be decreased. As amazing as that sounds, it is actually true and its so unbelievably stupid, the porn forum can be one of the best marketing devices in porn. It is great for both the fan and the porn star, because it allows the porn star to promote their features and interact with their fans while from the comfort and safety of their own home, they don't have to worry about any weird obsessive fan contact that they might get at shows from people like swami and therock284. I mean being a porn star is a career, and the more videos that star can move the better and bigger their careers should be, like rock bands, they tour the world and it leads to larger album sales the same rules can apply here, the number of talent that is in porn now is so huge its near impossible for anyone fan to keep track of, the porn forums allow girls to build their name and a following among the fans that post and hence move units. Whoever the people are behind this blackballing of the porn stars posting on forums should take a long hard look at the positives of their stars posting, at the end of the day the star wants work and recieve bigger fees and the company wants to move units, getting exposure and being fan friendly can only be a positive, and its easy,safe and convenient for the star, they can come on whenever they want, no date needs to be set, no place needs to be attended. For the few stars that post here i would love to hear your thoughts on this. I mean i have to think kami and gen's stuff would be selling better now then prior to them posting, i can't even begin to count the number of times i have read someone say i just checked out my first kami scene today and it was hot,etc. From people who weren't too aware of her prior to coming to the board.

I can speak from my experience...

I had not heard of Gen or kami (i know shoot me for this... but hey, so many hot girls out there, hows a man supposed to keep up!) before viewing this forum in the summer time, but have bought a couple of dvds because of them since. So, i think its exposure and it sells dvds.. at least for me it did.

It would be great to be able to share your opinions and interact with the people who watch your stuff but this business is too political for that.The smallest missunderstanding can lead to lost work.A missunderstanding between a veteran and myself lead him on a smear campaign that people who dont know me judged me on based on his bullshit.I would advise anyone who comes on to tread lightly you can be made or broken in a forum like this

See, and this is only 1 guy , A ton of people say just check out the first scene by so and so. This site has 1000 odd members not to mention the anonymous readers. Its a great forum to promote a star and their products.

Okay bishop, have you had a negative smear campaign since you have posted here?, has anyone even directed one negative comment your way?. There is always going to be 1 or 2 assholes but they are going to get that no matter where they go radio, shows, sets, anywhere. Can't avoid it, but when someone crosses the line theres a lot of level headed (i can't believe i said that) to step in and back up the star. The only example i can think of that backs what you say is sammura and its painfully obvious what she was about, she is no longer in porn and as they say on BGOL always has to be the center of attention and no matter how big a star you are if you call people crackers, among a number of insults you are going to hear it back. I think its a horrible misconception. A lot of people have out there sense of humors but most of the time we use it on ourselves unless the porn star chooses to jump in and enjoy the fun (meliss/brandon). Now with the cage up and running that is easy to avoid at xxxporntalk as most of it is within the cage, theres a lot of normal boards for them to post at (general, etc).

So sorry if my post led you to believe that situation was related to a post. I have received nothing but love here at xxxpt but my view remains the same.The fact is the people who hire us read these just like everone else.Something taken the wrong way let alone someone voiceing displeasure would likeiy see a decrease in hiring and its not likely that anyone would come right out and say "I dont call you because you said blank on xxxpt"But because as someone else stated "you never know whats going to set someone off"it would be wise to be careful what one says here.I'll be the first to admit there are topics and people discussed here that I would want to risk stirring up.A lot of people post anonymously they can say whatever and claim its not them.I'm not hiding in here but,I also have a kid to feed.It's not lost on me,that this thread is relatively small

I understand what your saying and im not suggesting that porn stars get involved in some of the controversial topics raised on the board, im just saying they should feel free to post even for promoting purposes on a message board among the fans that will be buying their products. I've got another question-0n top of the stars not posting or becoming members- does Tony M have some means of actually determining that a person who claims to be some porn star really is. With some that post a lot like Rob, Gen and Kami it is obvious because they interact with each other but how would we know that some who only posts a bit is really that star.

its a trend that will change, but i don't want to wait around till stars and companies come to their senses and realize what a great tool it could be. I thought i would raise the question and get some thoughts from performers that DO post here.

I think its pretty easy to tell, like we know kami, gen and angelica are who they are just like we know that meliss is brandon. Smart people can tell, just not smartt people.
