Artistically, I think every musician/ writer is influenceed in some way by everything they listened to, if even in a negative way.
Which is why most, if not all attempts to rank and pigeon-hole are never wholly satisfying, or accurate.
I love me some obscure, ancient Floyd, but is it a "game changer?" Nah. Same with Tull and several other bands mentioned already.
The Beatles maybe get credit beyond their ability by dint of being first. Well,
somebody had to be first.
