Its pretty cold at night on Far Rockaway: since I was stuck there overnight on the 20th floor at my grandparents place, I had to sleep in a robe and covered with 3 blankets. The only electricity is the lights on the 1st floor and in the halls of the floors. After 7pm - lights out.
Why didn't you just take their blankets and tell them they've lived long enough?
