This thread's for my East Coast friends who might, and hopefully not, be affected by the hurricane. You're on my mind.

Where I am at, all we really have to worry about is power/cable outages and wind damage.
Gonna fill up the tub tomorrow, so I can use the water to flush the toilet if the power goes out.

Al did you upload the wrong pictures? These are the same ones you put in the interior design thread.
I messed up the threads, and I can't delete these since the interior design thread are linked to these. But here is the storm photo which I took about 10 minutes ago:

Some of my kids yard stuff, that made it through the last storm fine, blew through the electric fence and I can see them jammed in the woods at the back of the pasture. I hope that fucking horse aint loose yet. I gotta go check.

I shouldn't have thrown the Democrat epithet in there. I just think it's interesting that when it's NO with Katrina, or Charleston with Hugo, or Florida with any number of 'canes, it's a "news story". When it affects DC and NYC it's "history".
It's like "oh crazy NO, shouldn't have been built below sea level". Well, crazy Manhattan, shouldn't have been built 1o ft above sea level, with tunnels for added interest.

Okay, and you may have a point there.
I will tell you that, right now, the Hudson River is spilling over into the damned streets. And hold on...
Yeah it affects a shit-ton more people, but the ones affected are no less or more damaged.
Anyway, JB, hope you and even Panzer and especially Fatman & Gypsy stay safe. You're gonna lose power so save that cell battery for shit other than XPT.
Garfield... Why don't you chose this moment to take up surfing?

We'll all be good, Bo, Thanks. I'm a bit more inland than most, as is Gypsy, I think. Not sure about The Fatman, but I'm led to believe he's on the Weehawken Heights, where Uncle Aaron shot old Alex.
Panzer's the one to worry about, as he's really really close to the ocean.

Gimme a minute. I have texts coming in from 76 different people in this mess.
Glad Heather's OK. We didn't get to discuss this, so please tell me you ended up using her Doctor, 'Cause hers are the only, squishtastically decent set of bolt-ons I've ever approved of.
Her md retired 2 years ago I found out. But I showed my md her pics. As well as sander westgate's pics and several Japanese manga drawings. He said I was the only patient to bring in pics of cartoons.
I don't have the pics anymore. I don't save much. I'm an anti-hoarder. I had a few random pics of random nude models I grabbed off a Frankie Figgs thread also.
I really hope any rebuilding in ny/nj isn't in the form of new douchey modern. They need to re-create it to preserve the history and lure we love it for.
Oh you can rest assured it will be douche palaces.
Welcome to South Florida in Manhattan. Fake stucco and metal studs and precast panels to look like brick. Metal decking with 3" of concrete between floors and every sound projected and amplified. No substance at all. All so temporary.
