I'm not getting how a guy who has so far in one term as governor has suspended the Council on Affordable Housing for 90 days with the goal of dismantling it, abolished the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate and the Office of the Child Advocate, used line item vetos to eliminate almost a billion dollars from the state budget, took on the state's teacher union, signed a tax cut that reduced funding of Temporary Disability Insurance by 190 million per year while reducing the payroll deduction of most employees by over half, vetoed a bill allowing same sex marriage, and met with Netanyahu is considered to be a moderate Republican. The guy is at least as far to the right as Reagan.

It comes down to three things for the more conservative Republicans really, gun control, illegal immigration, and global warming. On those issues they see him as a moderate.
California is the inevitable end of the modern progressive agenda and it is fucking ugly. The garbage piles up on the streets. Theft is rampant, particularly of copper wire, so much so that the native white and Hispanic farmers are building armories. No one speaks English. The Food 4 Less runs on food stamps.

I tell ya, I like Biden. I called him as Barry O's running mate as soon as Barry got the nod in 04. He was the perfect running mate for a DC noob.
You know damn well if you had a case of beer, Biden is the one of the 4 you would invite over to shoot the shit with.
That said, his only chance in 2016 is if the Repubs take have2's advice and put up a Gingrich/Bachman kook ticket. The NY money will keep him from getting the nomination anyway. Hillary or Cuomo. Cuomo's family skeletons should be enough generations back that they won't effect him running. His father never sought national office for a reason......

Let me follow myself up. Almost all of my friends are liberal. I have family members who are liberal. People I love and care about are liberal Democrats. Basically, none of them are gloating over this election. As for the election, no one has anything to be proud of. An uninformed apathetic electorate. A cheerleading and covering up media. A celebrity obsessed culture that thinks the government is a candy dispensing reality show. White guilt and the cynical race hustlers know how to produce and harness it. Threats of mob violence, which equals "democracy" when we're talking Arabs. How could this have ended any other way? No. There's nothing to be proud of in this episode.
