I've got one of their albums burned and I do love some ultra technical playing but over all I think this kind of shit contributes to the nintendo-ization of metal. You might as well be showing off that you can type 120 words per minute, just like those "worlds fastest drummer" competitions where people play over 1400 strokes per minute. almost all of todays metalcore/emocore/deathcore is worse and gets's worse every year....The music people in their late teens and early twenties are making now just sounds like computers programmed to play breakdowns and taping on 15 string guitars and basses with autotuning and bass drops in the background. It's so fucking sterile and insincere. Grindcore is supposed to be sloppy nasty music played by pissed off losers dorks weirdo's and scumbag assholes that work as wageslaves with no future at life.

I turned onto them on the Power Metal ep of Metal Evolution. They were grouping them and like Yngwie Malmsteen (jondra) into the Power Metal category. I disagree. I thought they fit into their own category of Virtuoso Metal or Classical Metal.

I get what you're saying tho. They actually talked about that. Apparently they were on Guitar Hero or one of those games. I totally agree that it sounds really sterile, but at the same time I pick up a kind of...I'm not sure. Almost like a joyfullness to it. It's fun to listen to turned up in the car. It's hook-ey as hell. At the same time, I could see getting burned out by it fairly quick, because it's almost exhausting to really listen to.

I see that this is played at 340 beats per minute. I'm not a guitarist but I am going to assume that is a touch above your typical song.
