All the PBS shows worth watching would do fine in the private sector. People would pay (by watching commercials) for Sesame Street, This Old House, New Yankee Workshop, etc. It's pretty well proven when these PBS stars move out and merchandise in the open market.
The PBS is a crock of shit.
It still surprises me that there are people that haven't figured this out. I mean Siskel & Ebert were on PBS 25 years ago.
