Guns are a personal thing, but you might want to look at a CZ Rami or PCR. They have been around a while and are well thought out. 9mm (9mmx19) gives a warmer feeling than .380 (9mmx17) without much of a weight or capacity penalty. I would suggest the heavier loads for penetration-- especially out of a short barrel. 147gr jhp would work well. 124gr if you have to.
