Undoubtedly you have heard other users bitching about your need to put gigantic animated .gif files in every thread you reply to. I think it's pretty irritating myself.
Solution: post LINKS to the animated .gifs you want to post.
That way those of us with limited bandwith/speed can see them if we like and you still get to post them without confining them to a .gif thread.
Post your .gifs where they are relevant but give users the option whether to load them or not.
No need to make me load a .gif that is almost a megabyte in the "deadly penis injection" thread.
This would do just fine
Click (animated gif)You can get creative with the wording. I think you'll find from responses to your incessant animated .gif posting that others would rather you either stop it, or confine it to a single thread. If you just use text links to your animations you have don't have to stop or confine posts anywhere.
Just a suggestion. Please. I can't be the only one who views threads at 99 posts per page. When you carpet bomb threads with animations loading takes a unnecessarily long time.
And if you reject my idea for simple links to .gifs you might remember that "hottest gif of the day" thread that you started... Use it please.
EDIT: The pic I linked to would have gotten it's point across if it was totally motionless. The several frames of animation really don't add anything.
