What went wrong? We snagged the wrong people from N.E. Pioli and Cassell are both idiots. We also haven't drafted a QB in the first round since 1983. It's a hell of a double feature living close to Kansas City. Every team in baseball has made the playoffs since 1985 except for the Royals and every team in the NFL has won a playoff game since 1993 except the Chiefs. Cheap ownership and incompetent management will tend to result in this.

Brutha man, I was worried as shit with Amendola going down Thursday, after only getting 3pts for me. Add to that my RB2 is Ben Tate (who is a back up that gets some garbage time points) has a toe issue, and I was worried. During waivers I picked up that RB Bell from Detroit, figuring I'd get some points for his catches but this is his bye week, part of the reason he was there when it was my pick. So I was thinking I was gonna get caught this week. I was WRONG. I smoked the dude I was up against, 179-93. He still has Schaub to play, but that dude aint gonna put up 80something points. I'll handle my teams performance w/ a screen cap. Giants D/ST is pissing me off. The one big week they had (20pts) I had them on the bench. I picked Randall Cobb when I put Greg Jennings on IR, and he had 21pts on my bench. Gonna be a tough choice between him and Fred Davis for my flex next week. Week 1 was my only loss so far 87-102. Since then, I have been over 140 every week. Dudes on the CBSSports message board won't even respond to me any more. All those fucking know it alls badmouthed my draft hard. I have been posting my results in the thread, and they no longer comment.

Not quite, but I would bet if you hooked up various members of the Chiefs front office to a lie detector and ask them if they got a little giggly inside after that hit more than half wouldn't pass the test. This franchise has had some bad and some unpopular QBs--Elvis Grbec, Brock Huard, Tyler Thigpen, Tyler Palko, Steve Bono--pretty much everyone to suit up at the position since Montana retired with the exceptions of Rich Gannon and Trent Green but I've never seen this town as unhinged about the QB position as it is this year with Cassell. You can mark him down for at least three turnovers every game, he has no arm strengh, and his lack of accuracy has already got one WR and one RB hurt this year. Forget keeping his job, if Pioli wants to not get burned in effigy at Arrowhead next September he absolutely has to find a way to get either Geno Smith or Matt Barkley with their first round pick this year. Even if he has to trade every other pick the Chiefs have in the draft this year it must be done. The Chiefs haven't taken a QB in the first round since 1983 and Arrowhead will be a ghost town next year if they don't. Cassell has absolutely zero support from the fans right now and if you watched the game today it is obvious the coaching staff does not trust him making even the simplest throw. You would have an easier time selling Oakland Raider jerseys in Kansas City than Matt Cassell jerseys this year. I don't agree with cheering when one of your team's players is hurt but the Cassell experiment in Kansas City has to get the plug pulled. He has lost all support in this town, has absolutely no one in the organization with any confidence in him(possible exception might be Pioli but if he does he needs to get booted out on his ass as well), and has no chance of ever regaining any as long as he is in K.C. The only way he salvages anything in his career is with a fresh start with another team.

This his 3rd year in KC? If so the guaranteed money might be all done and they can cut him w/ no cap hit.

Ooof. I just realized that Brees is on bye this week. Luckily one of my opponent biggest point producers is on bye also, the Bears D/ST. Gonna be tough, and after rattling off 4 wins, I am due for a let down.

I'm up 127-47, and it looks like I'm going to eat a loss. I have Randall Cobb going now, he has Arian Foster and James Jones. Then tomorrow he has Rivers, Gates and Matthews going. The guy I'm tied with in first place looks to be getting boned this week also, so it aint all that bad.

UGH! Fucking Gates is killing me. He has to have his first big game when I'm matched up against him.
Only reason I still have a shot is Rivers 3INTs and Fumble. I wish it was an INT return for a TD and cost him 6pts.
5 mintues left and I'm leading 131-120. One of Ponder's INTS was returned for a TD and that didn't get deducted until this morning.

INT RETURNED FOR A TD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could still lose because of 1 play, but that just gave me some hope.

And another turnover to seal it for me. I think Rivers turned it over 5 times in the 2nd half.

steaks on the grill and a bunch of cl's. I have 4 players and one defense rollin tonight and I need 54 points ftw.
I am winning this week 134-47. Flacco shit the bed for my opponent and MJD went down after the first series. Tonight he has Pettigrew, Forte and Hanson. F'n Vern Davis tanked on me Thursday and had me shittin bricks. Brees and Randall Cobb carried me. I was surprised the Steelers shut down AJ Green, except for 1 short TD catch. Guy I'm up against this week is a game behind me. Tomorrow morning I'll be 2 games up in first. Next week I get the chance to avenge my only loss.

I picked Bell up, but I dumb lucked into Ballard from the Colts and he's been my RB2, since he's the starter there. I might dump Tate this week to try and grab Rashad Jennings or Jonathon Dwyer. I had Ras. Jennings early in the season hoping MJD would re injure his knee.
What, you had to put Greg Jenning of IR and on your roster? I got him and Amendola taking up both my IR spots, so w/ T-Rich's ribs I gotta drop someone to get another RB.
Fred Davis' Achilles tear dicked me too. I was gonna slip him in as my flex w/ Green on bye Week 8, now I gotta scramble for a TE. Keller is out there, and Dressen.
Waivers this week I'm going Rashad Jennings, Keller, Dwyer, Dressen. I aint touching that Cardinals RB, I don't trust that team.
I don't have the Bears D, wish I did. I have the Giants and Bills, and I think only once I started the one that scored the most pts.

I think they had Jennings as questionable at one point and I was going to be gone for hockey so I rostered the broken bitch. I wish I had more time for this. Still...I only have one loss but its not looking good for tonight.

Down 99-137. I got Brees going now and Vern Davis tomorrow night. They have Denver's kicker going now. I should be able to pull it out, but I'm nervous.
Trent Richardson's ribs had me scared today so I benched him rather than risk a repeat of last week. Scumbag got 19pts on my bench and the dude I started, Ballard got me 11. I think I'll either win or lose by more than 8 though.

I know you are all still clamoriing to find out how my team is doing, so I'll update you.
That week of my last comment, I missed that they had Witten still playing. That cocksucker went off for 18 catches and a shit ton of yards, while plunging a fork into my heart. Brees wound up being mediocre, and Vern Davis has fallen off the face of the earth.
The rest of the league must have realized Moss is just a decoy, and are taking Vern outta the game. It is ridiculous that I am sitting my healthy 4th Round pick for a guy I pulled off waivers a month ago (Dustin Keller). I might miss out on a 25pt game, but I'll also be missing out on 2 games of <6. 49ers should give the Jets a fifth round pick for Sanchez and Holmes in the off season. Then go bizarro world, and start Kaepernick(?) and only put Sanchez in on passing downs.
Anyway, thanks to a tie the other week, I am in first place still, by a half game, with 3 weeks to go and a soft schedule. The guy I play last week of regular season I have beaten 7 straight times stretching back 3years, including playoffs. RB2 is still my only weakness, as Amendola and Jennings didn't get healthy before the trade deadline. I got Amendola on the bench, because Randall Cobb has more potential for big play TDs. I have 4 #1 quality WRs (Green, Wayne, Cobb, Amendola) and I know I'll never start the right 3.
I picked up Chris Ivory this week, because Ballard is splitting carries and Dwyer will probably do the same. Ivory appears to be the most explosive of the Saints RBs, so I'll take the 20pt or 3pt gamble on him.
As I said, soft 3 games before playoffs. I should get the 1st round bye, then probably be matched up against my friends team that has beaten me 2x, in a slugfest to get to the title game. I feel that whoever comes out of my division is going to win the title, because the top teams in the other one appear to be fading hard.

I'm fucked this week. 35 pts down with d vs d on Monday night and Redman on tonight's late game. Still first in the league and trying to hang on for that $100 payout at the end of the fantasy regular season.

I got the win this week. 136-96, I have Baltimore's kicker left, he is done. This will put me at 8-3, still in first, doubt I gain any ground this week.
Our only end of regular season payout is for Most Points Scored ($50). I had 2 real bad weeks, so I am in 2nd on that, about 60 points out. I have been Top Points for the Week 3 times now. $5/each, ate most of it up on transaction fees, shuffling through RBs and a couple bye week WRs.

I got my ass handed to me this week. The team behind me lost also, so they cannot leap frog me. Team that started the day in third is now in second. I beat them, I have a first round playoff bye. If I lose we will be tied.
Tie breakers are Division Record, Head to Head, then Total Points Scored for the season. We will be tied on the first 2, and I have a 176 pt lead on him. Unless everyone on my team dies just following the opening kick of their respective games, then I'll have the bye. I love going straight to the money rounds.

I really enjoy this Fantasy Football stuff. I respect the game. I talk some trash every week prior to my match up, but I never fuck with my opponent trying to get them to question their line up and make ill advised moves.
I respect the rules too, but feel no remorse when I can use them to my advantage. Roster moves locked with the ending of bye weeks after week 11, only injury replacements allowed. Last week Amendola was listed as Questionable all week. Then Friday, he was switched to Doubtful, so I put him on Injured Reserve and picked up Jalen Parmele. That dude was a bust and got hurt, so waiver time on Tuesday, I moved him to IR and picked up Felix Jones.
Jones was my pick because of the gaudy 14pt projection CBSSports had on him and the fact that he is up against the Saints during Championship week. I had to move Amendola off IR, because he actually got in the game last week and was listed as Questionable again. Then reports come out about DeMarco Murray being healthy and likely to play, so Jones projection was plummeting. Today it rested at 7pts.
Fuck. After Brees shit holed me last night w/ only 8pts on 340yds passing and 5, count em 5 INTs, I'm scramblin for points and a #2 RB for the playoffs. Only RBs I got Besides Trent Richardson as my #1 are Jones and Dwyer From Pit. So I just check a minute ago for Friday updates, and lil Danny Amendola is listed as Doubtful again. SWEEEEEEET. I now have Knowshon Moreno, who is brittle as fuck, but is in a good offense. I didn't get him Tuesday, because he has Balt and Clev the last 2 weeks of playoffs. I can rotate through the three of them clowns based on match ups.
Jones will probably be the one dropped when Amendola's status changes next week. If Dwyer doesn't fumble and lose his spot on the depth chart, then he could do some good things when Rapelisberger comes back. Jones gotta have Murray break something else to even contribute I think. I'ma hate it if this Murray talk is all a snow job by the Cowboys.
Also, my opponent had Forte get hurt last week, so he picked up Michael Bush, the back up. Bad move. He shoulda got Moreno, for when Forte got healthy during out playoffs. His other starting RB is Alex Starks. Now Forte is scheduled to play and he gonna be stuck w/ Starks starting or 2 Bears RBs.

Has there ever been any team in football who has had a worse year than the Chiefs? I know Detroit went 0-16 and Tampa Bay went 0-14 but neither of those teams had a player kill his girlfriend and then kill himself at the team's practice facility in front of his coach and G.M.

It can only go up from here.
Where was the dude on the depth chart? Practice squad? Starter? Can they try to blame it on NFL concussions?

Started every game but one the last two years. Here's the kicker, his major in college was child development. Some of the sports talk shows on the station I listen to out of K.C. were saying that they had people already asking about concussions when they were interviewed by out of market stations. AFAIK he never had a concussion while with the Chiefs. I don't know about any college or high school concussions.

He wasn't the best inside linebacker but he was solid and dependable.

I caught a whippin this week. When the other guy's kicker woulda been the high scorer on your team, that is a whippin. 83-127. I still got the Giants D/ST to go, but they aint gonna put up 50pts.
On the other hand, I am alone in the lead for my weekly pool, by a point. One guy a point behind me has the Eagles tonight, so he is the only one that can catch me before Monday night. I'm in a tie for 4th in the yearly rankings, 4pts outta the lead.

If I'm giving Flacco a grade it is a B. Take Ray Rice off that team and he probably drops to C+ to B-.

Dude is good. I'd love to see him with a decent running back.

Cock sucking Giants cost me 2 bills. 4way tie tonight, and I lost on points.
They had no answer for RG3. 0 sacks. 0INTs. All Big Blue racked up tonight was penalties.

The fucking Bears have me worried after this past Sunday's game against Seattle. Seattle's QB, Russell Wilson was a scrambling motherfucker and just totally wore our defense out. They had nothing left by the time the game was in OT. If we play them again in the playoffs, we need to either take his fucking head off or we're losing.

You are probably looking at the Giants or Green Bay in the first round, figuring 49ers and Atlanta will have byes. Urlacher out for a month is tough to over come, and you got GB next week, pretty much for the division title. Game is in Chicago, so you got a shot.

As a Chiefs fan watching that game actually made it easier for me to accept the Chiefs not trading up to get him. There is no way the Chiefs jellyhead of an offensive coordinator would come up with 10% of those plays Shanahan and his kid have designed for Griffin.

Next year is the big test for RG3. Once they start giving him more regular "pro offense" stuff to do, so he don't get all Muhammad Ali by the time his contract is up. Cam Newton has taken a step back in year 2.
Personally, I think they should go balls to the wall w/ these young QBs that can run. Look at McNabb and Culpepper, neither of them were any good once their wheels were damaged. With the reasonable first round contracts nowadays, if the running QB lasts 3-4 years, so be it. Redskins need some pieces in the secondary and a red zone/deep threat wide out, and they are right in the hunt next year.
I feel the same w/ pitchers in MLB. I figure dude has just so many bullets in the clip, and I want him using as many of them as possible while I have him under contract. Use em up, throw em away, there is a fresh crop next year.

Crabtree's TD just cut my throat. Gore's TD went as a Defensive score, since it was a fumble recovery. I'm down 133-118

I tell ya what, this year's playoffs is a lot harder to gamble on than last year's. Last year there were a ton of lay up overs out there. This year so many teams made it to the dance w/defense. Seattle, Washington, Minnesota, Houston, all tough defense going in the first weekend. I hate betting the under though, because garbage time TDs will cut your throat. Here's the current lines: Only thing that stands out to me right away is Minn getting 8pts. The way AP is playing and the way Rodgers wilts under a physical pass rush, I'll prolly take those 8pts. I have to look into how the other team's records before I comment much on them. That Seahawks/Redskins game though, oof. 2 rookie running QBs, tough defenses, 2 RBs at the top of the league. That is a tough one to call.

P.S. How bout them Cowboys choking? It is about that time where Jerry brings in a big name coach, just to meddle and drive him away in 3 years.

Interesting thing I heard on the radio today: There were only 3 QBs that started games yesterday that are older than Romo. Brees, Brady and Manning. Sometime soon they are going to have to stop waiting on the guy to put it all together.
